Each episode of Showtime’s star-studded 2022 series weaves together the lives of Betty Ford, Michelle Obama, and Eleanor Roosevelt — jumping around in time and location over eleven decades of history. The production was divided into three different shooting blocks, each dedicated to one woman’s story — with mine (Michelle Pfieffer as Betty Ford) up first. The multi-stage, two-tier White House sets (and dozens of others) were built over several months of prep and later redressed for the Obama and Roosevelt shooting blocks.
